AESI plans many types of residential, commercial and industrial projects
located in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. Our services
cover every critical project step, from initial proposal analysis and
evaluation through final dedication of infrastructure to controlling agencies.
Our project managers are skilled planners who compile and schedule each
step to achieve the highest level of efficiency and economy. The firm
conducts impact, cost analysis and feasibility studies, required by financial
institutions and regulatory agencies. Among the studies performed are:
201 Facilities Plans for sewerage facilities; Land Development Feasibility
Assessments for private developers (including Phase I Hazardous Materials,
EISs and EIRs), and Water System Feasibility Studies to determine cost-effective
improvements to existing water systems.
Land Surveying
AESI's land surveying services range from small-scale surveys of property
corners and line stakeouts to large tract boundary surveys and determinations.
Our services include preparation of subdivisions, topographic surveys,
aerial-control surveys, construction stakeouts, and highway development
activities. Clients include corporations and private-sector developers,
state highway administrations, as well as municipal and local agencies.
Landscape Architecture
Our services include complete site and land planning through grading
and planting. Our staff concentrates its expertise on projects ranging
from single-family residences to major developments, such as PUDs, malls
and industrial parks. Our landscape architects offer in-depth knowledge
of and skill involving topography, geology, soils, existing and proposed
vegetation, infrastructure and special site features, such as drainage
and views. They consistently provide unique perspectives and resourceful
insights into developments options, constraints and opportunities.
Environmental
Clients use AESI expertise for the full range of environmental Services
from Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, to wetland Delineations,
Forest Stand Delineations, Forest Conservation Plans, Wetland Mitigation
Plans, Habitat Suitability Studies to pursuing and securing all applicable
environmental permits. Our permit processing experience has been reviewed
by all appropriate agencies under jurisdiction of the Baltimore, Pittsburgh,
and Norfolk district offices of the Army Corps of Engineers.
Civil Engineering Design
Structural
AESI's structural capabilities include design of bridges, buildings,
prestressed and precast concrete, wooden structures, and foundations.
Structural engineering clients range from individuals and architects to
facilities manufacturers for prestressed- and precast-concrete structures.
Our staff also provides on-site construction inspection and trouble-shoots
special problems.
Land Development
AESI's development work comprises the design of plans for sites and
subdivisions, ranging in size from one lot to hundreds of acres. Our experience,
expertise and input on these projects encompass: roadway and lot layout,
street and utility plans and profile design, mass- and site-grading plans,
as well as drainage and erosion sediment control. AESI's land development
capabilities include hydrologic and hydraulic design for storm drainage,
stormwater management facilities, stream channel determination, bridge-opening
computations, and 100 -year flood-plain determinations. We also provide
complete construction-quantity and cost-estimating services.
Transportation
AESI designs highways and streets, as well as residential, commercial
and industrial development roadways to optimize safe, efficient egress
and ingress. We are experienced in design and traffic analysis for new-town
transportation systems and regional-airport and railroad connection facilities.
AESI has designed bridges and intersections along with providing subsequent
construction services for numerous county and state highway administrations
in the region.
Utilities
AESI's environmental work focuses on the analysis, design and specification
of water supply, transmission, distribution and storage facilities for
a variety of system types ranging from individual to municipal. The firm
designs sewage collection systems, sewage pumping stations, transmission
lines, and wastewater treatment plans for on-lot subsurface disposal systems,
such as septic tanks and tile fields, sand mounds and deep-trench disposal
beds, and also for large publicly owned wastewater treatment systems.
