(AESI) has announced that Barton W. Staley has been named as a Professional Intern Member of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute. Staley is a Pittsburgh University engineering school graduate, and a member of the structural engineering design services team at AESI. The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute is composed of more than 1,400 professionals - engineers, architects, producers and associate members striving to improve the quality, economy and innovation of the construction industry by establishing new levels of design and engineering in precast applications. Precast/prestressed concrete is one of the leading edge technologies of the North American construction Industry. The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute is dedicated to fostering greater understanding of the design and use of precast and prestressed concrete. Mr. Staley is an Engineer In Training (E.I.T.), and holds a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. He has had several years of experience working for construction companies, including Turner Construction Company in Pittsburgh and Eagle Contracting in Clarion, PA. He has been president of the National Civil Engineering Honors Society. AESI has provided significant design services for the precast/prestressed concrete construction industry, including for various parking garage projects, hospital expansions, large retail store designs, and for bridge engineering.
