AESI Adds Two Full-Time Employees
Hagerstown Engineering Firm Continues to Grow


(Hagerstown, MD Sep. 18, 2003) -- Associated Engineering Sciences, Inc. has added two new full-time employees to its civil engineering department.

Mary Elizabeth Rose Howells is a graduate of Bucknell University. She holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering. The Fulton County native lives in Fort Littleton, PA. She has experience working for a construction company in South-Central PA, and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. She will be working as a civil engineer and designer.

Scott M. Deeds is a graduate of the Pittsburgh Technical Institute. He also completed studies at James Rumsey Technical Institute. He has worked for Crown Castle International in Canonsburg, PA and also for FedEx Ground in Neville Island, PA. The Martinsburg, WV native will be working as a CADD Technician.

Both Howells and Deeds will be based at the Associated Engineering Sciences, Inc. Hagerstown office, which serves clients throughout the four-state area.

Associated Engineering Sciences, Inc. is a team of professional engineers, surveyors, construction managers, and inspectors. AESI has numerous contracts in the fields of Structural Design, Highway Engineering Design, Surveying (topographical and metes & bounds), and Hydrologic studies. The firm has provided engineering consulting and design services in almost every Maryland jurisdiction, including every county west of the Chesapeake Bay. Additionally, the firm does significant work in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. AESI's client list includes Intelsat's Mountainside Teleport Corporation, Allegheny Ventures, International Masonry Institute, Crown American, and Bowman Development. AESI's professional services include surveying, civil or structural engineering, construction management, landscape architecture, CAD design, Phase 1 ESA's, wetland delineations, and inspections. AESI is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) in the states of Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. This certification entitles AESI to conduct business in those states in the professional disciplines of Civil and Structural Engineering Services, Land Surveying and Environmental Assessment (Wetland & Forestry). AESI is licensed in Illinois, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. AESI has not only completed projects in many states, but also has completed structural engineering work in China.
