AESI Adds Civil Engineer University of Pittsburgh Graduate Hired (Hagerstown, MD January, 20, 2003) -- Associated Engineering Sciences, Inc. (AESI) has announced that Barton W. Staley has been added to its professional civil engineering staff. Barton W. Staley is a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He is an Engineer In Training (E.I.T.), and holds a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. He has had several years of experience working for construction companies, including Turner Construction Company in Pittsburgh and Eagle Contracting in Clarion, PA. He has been president of the National Civil Engineering Honors Society. Mr. Staley moved to Hagerstown from the Pittsburgh area. Mr. Staley will be working as a design engineer for AESI. Associated Engineering Sciences, Inc. is a team of professional engineers, surveyors, and construction managers. AESI has numerous contracts in the fields of Structural Design, Highway Engineering Design, Surveying (topographical and metes & bounds), and Hydrologic studies. The firm has provided engineering consulting and design services in almost every Maryland jurisdiction, including every county west of the Chesapeake Bay. Additionally, the firm does significant work in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. AESI's client list includes Intelsat's Mountainside Teleport Corporation, Allegheny Ventures, International Masonry Institute, Crown American, and Bowman Development. AESI's professional services include surveying, civil or structural engineering, construction management, landscape architecture, CAD design, Phase 1 ESA's, wetland delineations, and inspections. AESI is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) in the states of Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. This certification entitles AESI to conduct business in those states in the professional disciplines of Civil and Structural Engineering Services, Land Surveying and Environmental Assessment (Wetland & Forestry). AESI is licensed in Illinois, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. AESI has not only completed projects in many states, but also has completed structural engineering work in China.
